Lake Rotoiti Water Shuttle Cruise and Hot Pools Experience

Totally unique to New Zealand, and rare around the world, this hidden gem has been rated one of New Zealand's best hot pool locations and is open 365 days a year.

This is a 2.5-hour experience. The scenic cruise across the lake takes approximately 20 minutes each way, giving you around 1.5 hours to soak and relax at the hot pools. Your friendly skipper will be happy to answer any questions and share local insights along the way.

There are eight hot pools on the lakeside, each fed by a natural spring and offering different temperatures to suit every comfort level. Cool off with a dip in the lake from the beach, or take the fun route - down the slide at the end of the jetty! The beach itself is geothermal, so even a gentle paddle will warm your feet as you twist them into the sand.

Feeling adventurous? A short but steep walking track leads to a stunning lookout above the pools with panoramic lake views. There's also a small café on site offering drinks, snacks, and ice creams to enjoy before your return journey.

• The price includes return water shuttle with skipper and hot pool entry.
• Our shuttle service requires a minimum of 4 adults for a confirmed departure. If you're booking with fewer than 4 adults, your booking will initially be marked as PENDING and we'll aim to confirm by midday on the day of the tour. If you have flexibility with dates, please contact us and we'll do our best to match you with others on similar dates.
• If the minimum isn't met, you'll have the option to pay the difference to confirm the charter, reschedule to another available day, or receive a full refund.
• Please note this is a shuttle service running at set times as listed on the website. The vessel used may vary depending on availability and group size. For large groups or custom charters, please get in touch for a tailored quote.
